Jesus did not teach
the doctrine of the Trinity. The view that "Jesus is God" is held by the vast
majority of Christians today whom quickly consider one a heretic who rejects
this false doctrine. Jesus continuously regarded himself as subordinate to the
Father. He emphasized that he was dependant upon the Father for all his
teachings and works...indeed...for all of his words! Yet, let us be reminded that
Jesus himself was mocked and persecuted for saying he was the Son of the Living
God. If he was mocked and persecuted, so surely too will his disciples who
claim him to be the Son of the Living God. But his disciples are not to
fear...for he has overcome the world! Jesus never broke the first commandment,
thus making the Father superior in everything. We learn from him that those who
serve him are serving the Father, for he was sent to us by the Father to do the
Father's Will:
"For I am come down
from heaven not in order that I do my will,
but the will of the [one] having
sent me"
John 6:38
