A Prayer
of Jesus
 I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and
understanding and revealed them to babes; yea, Father, for such was thy gracious will.

The Promise
God made a promise to humans in the Old Testament. He fulfilled it through Jesus of Nazareth, and now continues its fulfillment to individuals of all nations -- to everyone who responds to his call. May you claim His promise.

The Promise

& Wonderful Promises
He promises many wonderful gifts that purge our lives of fear, anxiety, worry, dread and despair. These gifts are available to all that take up the cross and follow him:
Come unto me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, 
and that your joy may be full. 
(John 15:11)

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you . . ..

(John 14:27)

I have said this to you that in me you may have peace. 
In the world you have tribulation, 
but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. 
(John 16:33)

So, if the son makes you free, you will be free indeed. 
(John 8:36)

Most wonderful of all, of course, is his promise of eternal life:
I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.
(John 11:25,26)

I came that you might have life, and have it abundantly. 
(John 10:10)
