 I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and

Seeking
Humble Hearts

Jesus describes himself as one being humble in heart. One who chooses to follow him home to the Father must also be humble in heart.
 
Jesus teaches that we must choose to deny the self in this world, that is, to deny the self in time, to humble the self now so as to receive the everlasting blessings in eternity. 
 
Everyone who exalts himself on earth will be humbled hereafter, and whoever humbles himself on earth (for the sake of the gospel) will be exalted in heaven.  We invite you to read the following papers which witness to Jesus seeking the humble in heart.
 
 
HIS WORDS

Jesus said,
"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your psyche-lives." -Matthew 11:29

Jesus also said,
 "For everyone exalting himself will be humbled, and the [one] humbling himself will be exalted." -Luke 14:11
