The
False Teaching
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its
shearers is dumb, so he
opened not his mouth. (Isaiah 53:7) Behold,
the
Lamb of God!"(Jn.
1:36 - John the
Baptist);
Christ, our
paschal lamb,
has been sacrificed. (I
Cor. 5:7- Paul); Now,
hear a
modern voice : If the only way into
heaven was through our own goodness, then none of
us could be saved. As the Bible says about heaven, "Nothing impure will
ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful,
but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life" (Revelation
21:27). But listen: We don't
have to depend on our own goodness! That's because Jesus Christ -- the sinless lamb of God -- took all
our sins upon Himself when He died on the cross for us. We
deserve to die -- but He died in our place. This is how much God
loves us! Don't depend on yourself or your goodness to save you,
but by faith trust Christ alone for your salvation today.
The
tragedy of Christianity is this view of Jesus as the Lamb of God,
because they listen to
anyone other than
Jesus!

Exposing
the Error
The error arises from the belief that the
entire Bible is the Word of God. They make a good case for the doctrine
on this view of the bible. That is why Christians believe it. But
Jesus has judged the Old Testament thus: You search the
scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and
it is they that bear witness to me; yet you refuse to
come to me that you may have life.(Jn
5:39,40) He
judged the New Testament thus, apart from his own words, thus: False prophets and false Christs will
arise and show signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the
elect. But take heed; I have told you all things beforehand
(Mk.13:22,23). He has judged his own words thus:
My testimony is
true (Jn.
8:14). To all who
seek Truth, he gives this rule: If you continue in my word, you will
know the truth (Jn.
8:31,32). As
to the source of his words, he leaves no doubt:
The Father who
sent me has himself given me command what to say and what to speak (Jn.
12:49). The error
arises because they do not listen to
Jesus' words. He explains this: He who is of God hears the words of
God; the reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God (Jn.
8:47). Read

Declaring
the Truth
What is he, if not the Lamb of God?
Listen to him: I am
the good shepherd. The good
shepherd lays down his
life for the sheep. He who is a
hireling and not a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not,
sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf
snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he
is a hireling and cares nothing for the sheep. I am the good
shepherd; I know my own and my own know me, as the Father knows
me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
That's
soooo
clear. You need no one to explain it. Men crucified a shepherd,
not a lamb! And look! He has also explained the hirelings
- who teach this false doctrine!
But how
does a crucified shepherd
save one from sin and
death? The prime function of a shepherd is to lead the sheep -- so hear
him: If any man would come after
me, let him
deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever
would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my
sake will find it.(Mt.
16:24,25) You want to
know, before doing that, where
he was going? Listen: I am coming to thee. (Holy
Father)(Jn.17:11)
