The False
Teaching
Pope
John Paul II: On this World
Day of Peace 2003, let us all resolve to . . . trust in the merciful and
compassionate God who calls to brotherhood, and confidence in the men
and women of our time because, ... they bear the image of God in their
souls. It is on this basis that we can hope to build a world of peace
on earth.
Billy Graham
speaks for many: But someday we will know peace . . . God will
intervene and Christ will rule as King and Lord over all the earth ... Satan
will be banished, and all the evil and deception that dominate our world
will be destroyed. The Bible says, "But in keeping with his promise we are
looking to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. (2
Peter 3:13) The Sou. Baptist
view: The true remedy
for the war spirit is the gospel of our Lord. The supreme need
of the world is the acceptance of His teachings in all the affairs of men
and nations, and the practical application of His law of love. Christian
people throughout the world should pray for the reign of the Prince
of Peace. This hope is vain!

Exposing
the Error
Humans will never
learn. The voices of prophets, ancient and modern, testify to this universal
yearning in the heart of man, but history trumpets, No! Never
has there been a secure peace, nor is there peace today. Many see the
state of Israel as setting the stage for the return of Christ and the
reign of the Prince of Peace. Look at the history! Its founding
has brought only strife and more war.The race changes not. Men are ever
driven by the conquest of glory, the quest for riches, the imperative of
self defense and, yes, the dream of peace -- on their terms. An
ancient prophet has a word for today's false prophets of peace: Thus
says the Lord God: "Because you have uttered delusions
and seen lies, therefore behold, I am against you, says the Lord GOD. My
hand will be against the prophets who see delusive visions and who give
lying divinations; . . . Because, yea, because they have misled my people,
saying, `Peace,' when there is no peace; (Ezek.13:8-10)
Do not
think that I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring
peace, but a sword. [Jesus, (Mathew 10:34)]

Declaring
the Truth
I have not come to bring
peace. You say he is coming
back to bring peace? Listen to him! I
will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be
also.(Jn 14:3)
Yes, Jesus is the Prince
of Peace. Here is his promise: Peace I
leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives
do I give to you.(John 14:27)
Christians are hearing
impared because they are of the world, and Jesus does not give world
peace. He gives his peace only to his true disciples,
who are not of the world, and he gives it now! Only believe his Word and
you have his peace, but you must detach from the world and follow him!
It is vain to pray for world peace while refusing his gift! Hear
him: I have said this to you, that in me you
may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer,
I have overcome the world.(John.16:33)
Hear and believe him.
Only then will you have peace, not war:
My kingship is not of
this world; if my kingship were of this world, my servants would fight, that
I might not be handed over to the Jews; but my kingship is not from the
world.(John 18:36)More
