JESUS of NAZARETH
or Paul's Jesus?
Jesus of Nazareth is to be carefully distinguished from the Jesus or
Christ of Paul. The churchmen, while preserving Jesus of Nazareth in
the gospels, have not noticed the distinction because, seeing Jesus
through the eyes of Paul, the shadow of Paul’s Jesus lies over the
gospels and darkens their hearts and minds when they read.
Nevertheless, through the centuries, there have been a few individuals
who have known Jesus as he truly is, and their existence provides an
unbroken chain of witnesses. This is the situation as it continues
today. Understanding the
distinction between Jesus of Nazareth and Paul's Jesus is vital for our
eternal salvation depends upon it.
Beginning with our January 2010 edition, we
invite you to join us in a reading of Paul: The Stranger,
written by Edgar Jones. This work, written in a five book
series,
witnesses to the defining difference found between the Jesus of
Nazareth that we believe is the Truth with that of Paul's made-up
Jesus.
For April 2010, we move on to Book 3, Paul & Jesus,
the third book in Paul:
The Stranger series. We will continue on with the last book in
this series, Book
4, The Church, in our next monthly issue. We are witnesses
to the Truth found in Jesus of Nazareth. As always, we invite you to go
directly to the Words of Jesus for the Truth as he is our Master and
Teacher.
